St. Mary Magdalen Council Activities

Free Throw

Easter Egg Hunt

The Saint Mary Magdalen Council sponsors a number of activities focused both on the parish and the larger community.

Parish activities include our famous Pancake Breakfast, Easter Egg Hunt, and Summer Parish Picnic and the Basketball Free Throw Tournament.  The Knights provide “Keep Christ in Christmas” stickers and signs at holiday time in conjunction with our Basket of Cheer.  The Knights also sponsor a color guard for special church functions (see an example in the picture below).  The color guard is one of the more visible aspects of our service to the parish.

Larger community activities include sponsoring dinner for the men of Connelly House as part of the Bethesda project.  Connelly House is an ultra-modern residence for 15-20 needy men re-entering the workforce.  The Knights sponsor two dinners a year where share food and fellowship with the men and celebrate those having birthdays with a cake and gift cards.  This activity is open to all parish men and is a good way to learn more about the Knights.
